abstract |
An isolated antibody or one of its active fragments that recognizes an EGFR epitope that is found in tumorigenic or hyperproliferative cells or cells that express EGFR in excess or express a mutant EGFR, where said antibody or one of its active fragments (i) binds to human wild type EGFR bound to the cell only when the EGFR is amplified or expressed in excess; (ii) binds EGFR from 2-7 at an epitope other than the LEEKKONYVVTDH splicing peptide and (iii) binds to an epitope in the sequence of residues 273-501 of the wild-type human EGFR. |
