abstract |
A tissue processing method of one or more tissue specimens for use in microtomy or histology, including the method: (a) initially impregnating a tissue specimen in a single non-aqueous mixture that is heated, said non-aqueous mixture having functions of (i) fixation, (ii) dehydration and (iii) rinsed and including at least one ketone, at least one alcohol, and mineral oil; and then (b) substantially impregnate the tissue specimen with a single wax solution that is heated and is also under pressure at atmospheric pressure; characterized in that the method uses only the two different chemical compositions. |
