A method of producing teicoplanin, comprising:

(a) ultrafiltration of a culture broth from a strain of Actinoplanes teichomyceticus capable of producing teicoplanin;

(b) the elution with alcohol of the filtrate resulting from the ultrafiltration, adsorbed on a porous adsorption resin, to produce from the porous adsorption resin a crudely purified liquid, containing teicoplanin ; wherein the porous adsorption resin, used in the elution of teicoplanin from the porous adsorption resin, includes 40 to 90% (v / v) of C1 to C4 alcohol miscible in water with a pH of 6.0 to 8.0, or 40 to 90% (v / v) C3 to C6 ketone miscible in water with a pH of 6.0 to 8.0; and

(c) treatment of the crudely purified liquid using activated carbon to recover the highly pure teicoplanin, wherein treatment of the crudely purified liquid using activated carbon includes the direct addition of Activated carbon inside the process liquid with a pH of 6 to 8 passing through the porous adsorption resin, or adding the activated carbon inside the diluted process liquid with water. |
