A method for dehydrating bone cartilage containing collagen II to maintain collagen II in its original natural structure, comprising: combining said substances with an antimicrobial agent, and from 15 to 44% by weight of potassium chloride or 15% by weight of sodium chloride based on the starting material; heating the resulting mixture in particulate form to a temperature below that of denaturation until the water content is reduced to less than 15% by weight of the dried cartilage; and recover a product that contains collagen II in its original natural structure; characterized in that said step of heating the mixture is carried out in the presence of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose or lecithin as a mold release agent. |
