Use of copolymers stabilized with protective colloids, in the form of their water-redispersible polymeric powders or in the form of their aqueous polymer dispersions, in coating agents that do not contain any mineral binding agent, characterized in that the copolymer is obtainable by means of a water polymerization, initiated by radicals, without the addition of emulsifying agents, a) of at least 35% by weight of vinyl acetate, b) of 5 to 20% by weight of ethylene, c) of at least 40% by weight of esters vinyl of tertiary monocarboxylic acids, branched in alpha, with 5 to 15 C atoms, as well as possibly d) from 0.1 to 10% by weight of other ethylenically unsaturated, copolymerizable comonomers, adding the data in% by weight until reaching each case at 100% by weight. |
