titleOfInvention METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN ANALYTICAL REACTIVE STRIP WITH ELECTROCHEMICAL BASE WITH METAL ELECTRODES WITH POTENTIATED HYDROPHYL CHARACTER.
abstract A method for manufacturing a part of an electrochemical based test strip, the method comprising: forming at least one metal electrode on a surface of an electrically insulating substrate, the at least one metal electrode having an upper surface; treating the upper surface of the at least one metal electrode with a hydrophilicity enhancing composition to form a top surface treated on the metal electrode with hydrophilicity enhancing chemical moieties thereon; and depositing a layer of catalytic reagent on the treated upper surface of the at least one metal electrode characterized in that the hydrophilicity enhancing moieties comprise a SO2OH (sulfonate) group.
