VACCINE COMPOSITIONS OBTAINED FROM STREPTOMYCES. |
abstract |
The present invention relates to the field of immunology, specifically with the control of infectious diseases caused by mycobacteria, based on the use of vaccines for the prevention of these diseases. With the present invention, vaccines were developed based on the use of live strains of Streptomyces expressing or not antigens of M. tuberculosis, which demonstrated their protective capacity against the challenge with BCG and M. tuberculosis after being administered by different routes. The use of Streptomyces strains for the expression of heterologous antigens of vaccine interest is part of the present invention. |
