titleOfInvention INSULATION AND PURIFICATION OF NUCLEIC ACIDS.
abstract A method for separating nucleic acids from materials that are not nucleic acids in a nucleic acid solution, comprising: a) combining cellulose with a solution containing nucleic acids and materials that are not nucleic acids to produce a first combination; b) adjust the concentration of polyethylene glycol at a concentration between 5% and 15%, and the concentration of salts at a concentration between 0.25 M and 5.0 M, thereby producing a second combination comprising bound nucleic acids to cellulose, and in which nucleic acids bind to cellulose when nucleic acids are in a state not aggregated in the solution; c) separating the cellulose-bound nucleic acids from the second combination; d) contacting the cellulose bound nucleic acids separated in c) with an elution buffer to release the bound nucleic acids from the cellulose and separating them into the elution buffer; and e) separating the cellulose from the elution buffer to provide nucleic acids that are substantially free of non-nucleic acid materials, in which the separations in step c) and e) are performed using a centrifuge, a column or manually .
