Heart positioning system for carrying out a medical procedure, comprising: a device (20) for positioning the heart by means of suction having one or more tissue contact surfaces; one or more suction openings located along the one or more tissue contact surfaces; a source (30) of suction in fluid communication with the one or more suction openings; one or more energy transfer elements located along the one or more tissue contact surfaces; a source (50) of energy connected to the one or more energy transfer elements; one or more sensors (60) located along the one or more tissue contact surfaces; and a processor (70) operatively connected to the one or more sensors; and characterized by medication delivery means coupled to the heart positioning device for administering medications during the medical procedure; lighting means coupled to the heart positioning device to provide illumination during the medical procedure; and in which at least one of the one or more tissue contact surfaces is flexible. |
