titleOfInvention CATHETER AND MANUFACTURING PROCEDURE OF THE SAME.
abstract A catheter body, configured to be inserted into the human body, comprising a spiral body (10) consisting of spirals of at least one wire (12) wound or braided in the same general direction, said spiral body comprising: - a distal portion (16), which covers one end on a front side of the spiral body with respect to an insertion direction, and which is configured to be inserted into a target blood vessel, and - a proximal portion (14), which covers one end on the rear side of the spiral body with respect to the direction of insertion into the blood vessel, which is characterized in that: (a) the distance Wd between spirals adjacent to each other, in the distal portion, is greater than the distance Wp between adjacent spirals, one with the other, in the proximal portion towards the proximal end of the spiral body, and (b) the spirals of the spiral body in the distal portion, have a smaller wire thickness than the spirals of the spiral body in the proximal portion, while the passage of the spirals in the distal portion is substantially identical to the passage of the spirals in the proximal portion.
