abstract Method of evaluating the iron activity profile in a trivalent iron-carbohydrate iron complex colloid for administration to a subject compared to a pattern (i.e. bioequivalence), comprising: contacting the complex with an excess at least 50 times of a reducing agent; determine a time (in minutes) in which no less than 75% colloidal ferric hydroxide of the carbohydrate and iron solution (T75) is reduced; in which a T 75 less than 20 minutes indicates a bioequivalence of trivalent iron in the complex when administered to a subject.
