A method for imparting to the fabric better properties for reducing folds and / or ease of ironing, in which the method comprises applying to the fabric a fabric softening composition comprising: (c) a cationic fabric softening agent; and (d) an emulsified silicone; wherein the average size of the silicone droplet in the emulsion is at least 0.39 mum and not more than 25 mum, and the silicone is emulsified with an emulsifier comprising one or more cationic surfactants and in which the viscosity of the silicone before emulsifications of 0.045 m 2 / s (45,000 cSt) to 0.75 m 2 / s (750,000 cSt). |
