abstract | A compound, including all enantiomeric or diastereoisomeric forms and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, having the formula: (See formula) wherein R is linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C10 alkyl; R 1 has the formula (See formula) R 2 has the formula (See formula) L and L 1 are binding groups, each of which is independently selected from: i) -C (R 5) 2 -; ii) -NR 5 -; and iii) -O-; each R 5 is hydrogen, linear or branched C1-C4 alkyl; or two R 5 units can be joined to form a carbonyl unit; the indices x and y are, independently of each other, 0 or 1; R 3 is a unit selected from the group consisting of: i) substituted or unsubstituted C3-C10 carbocycle; ii) C 6 -C 10 substituted or unsubstituted aryl; iii) substituted or unsubstituted C1-C10 heterocycle; and iv) substituted or unsubstituted C 1 -C 10 heteroaryl; R 4 is a unit selected from the group consisting of: i) hydrogen; ii) C1-C10 linear or branched hydrocarbyl, substituted or unsubstituted; iii) substituted or unsubstituted C3-C10 carbocycle; iv) C 6 -C 10 substituted or unsubstituted aryl; v) substituted or unsubstituted C1-C10 heterocycle; and vi) substituted or unsubstituted C1-C10 heteroaryl; wherein the term "substituted" means that one or more hydrogen atoms of the hydrocarbyl part of a respective moiety may be substituted by a substituent or several substituents selected from i) -OR 8; ii) -C (O) R 8; iii) -C (O) OR 8 iv) -C (O) N (R 8) 2; v) -CN; vi) -N (R 8) 2; vii) -halogen; viii) -CF3; -CCl3; -CBr3; and ix) -SO 2R 8; wherein each R 8 is, independently of one another, hydrogen, linear, branched or cyclic, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C4 alkyl; or two R 8 units can be joined to form a ring comprising 3-7 atoms, the substituent units being capable of replacing a hydrogen atom, two hydrogen atoms or three hydrogen atoms of one hydrocarbyl moiety at a time, or of substituting two hydrogen atoms in two adjacent carbons to form said substituent. |
