abstract | A method for treating a surface, said method comprising a step of contacting said surface with a composition for treating surfaces comprising: a) an effective amount of a water soluble sulfonated / carboxylated polymer having a molar content, said polymer comprising : (i) at least one carboxylic acid functionality; (ii) one or more nonionic functionalities wherein said at least one nonionic functionality is selected from the group consisting of styrene, alpha-methylstyrene and combinations thereof; and (iii) at least one sulfonate functionality, wherein said sulfonate functionality is less than 4 mol% of the molar content of said polymer; and b) at least one adjuvant ingredient. |
