MODIFIED CYTOQUINE FOR STABILIZATION. |
abstract |
A cytokine stabilization method comprising the following steps: a) mutating the amino acid sequence of the cytokine so that hydrophobic residues exposed to the solvent are removed by amino acid substitution; and b) mutating the amino acid sequence of the cytokine so that helix stabilizing residues are introduced; such that during the folding of the cytokine, an intermediary formed during the folding of the cytokine is destabilized relative to the cytokine in its folded state. |
