| abstract | Procedure for waxing and washing wool, goat and bovine hides, consisting of subjecting the hides to soaking for a variable time between 24 and 48 hours depending on the state of dryness of the same, then proceeding to drain them, submitting them later, in non-metallic deposits in a bath in a solution of the following products: sodium sulphide, arsenic sulphide, sodium sulphite, arsenous anhydride, sulforricinates or sulphonated oils, linseed soap and water; in variable proportions, depending on the quality of the skins, with or without agitation or movement of the liquid and at a temperature not exceeding 35ยบ centigrade, staying in this bath for about 48 hours, proceeding after the bath to normal hair removal of the skin and washing wool with plain water or with water and a detergent or soap. |
