abstract | A clear, gel-rinse laundry detergent composition comprising a surfactant system containing an anionic surfactant and a non-ionic surfactant and 1 to 8% by weight of a fatty alcohol gelling agent having the formula ( See formula) in which: R 1, R 2 and R 3 are independently selected from hydrogen and linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated C 1-C 16 alkyl groups, whereby the total number of carbon atoms in the gelling agent is between 8 and 17; wherein the composition comprises 0.1 to 10% by weight of particles having a size of 300 to 5000 micrometers and in which the shear rinse properties of the composition are such that its viscosity under a shear stress of 100 Pa or more is a maximum of 1 Pa.s. |
