A pyrimidine derivative of the ** formula **, wherein Q1 and Q2 are independently selected from aryl, or from a fully unsaturated 5 or 6-membered monocyclic ring, bonded by carbon, or from a 9 or 10-membered bicylic ring , of which at least one atom is chosen from nitrogen, sulfur or oxygen; and one of Q1 and Q2, or both, is substituted on an annular carbon with a substituent of the formula (Ia) or (Ia ''); a "heterocyclic group" is a mono- or bicyclic ring, saturated, partially saturated or unsaturated, containing 4-12 atoms, of which at least one atom is chosen from nitrogen, sulfur or oxygen, which may, unless specified otherwise, be linked by carbon or nitrogen, in which a group -CH2- can be optionally substituted by a -C (O) -, and an annular sulfur atom can be optionally oxidized to form S-oxides; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or in vivo hydrolysable ester thereof. |
