abstract | An apparatus for heat activating a heat-sensitive adhesive label (5) comprising a support and a layer of heat-sensitive adhesive agent (3) that is provided on said support (14) and is not adhesive at room temperature, to make said layer of adhesive heat-sensitive adhesive agent with the application of heat thereto, comprising: a heating medium (8) having a thin film resistive element (12) on a ceramic substrate (11) and a protective layer (13) covering a surface of said thin film resistive element; a printing roller (9) disposed opposite to said heating means; said printing roller forms a heat activation unit (2) with said heating means; a label feeding mechanism for directing said heat-sensitive adhesive label (5), which is transported between said heating means and said printing roller in a direction in which said layer of heat-sensitive adhesive agent is oriented to said heating medium, characterized by a control unit for heating said heating means with a predetermined pattern, wherein when the coefficient of friction between said layers of heat-sensitive adhesive agent is less than 2.0, the pressure force of said heat-sensitive adhesive label between said heating means and said printing roller is in the range from 50 to 5000 g / 25 mm at room temperature, and when said coefficient of friction between said layers of heat-sensitive adhesive agent is between 2.0 and 3.0, said pressure force of said adhesive label heat-sensitive between said heating medium and said printing roller is in a range from 50 to 2000 g / 25 mm at room temperature. |
