abstract |
A method for removing reactive metal from a metal-coated hydrocarbon catalytic conversion reactor system, comprising contacting a coating containing reactive metal present on at least a portion of the metal-coated hydrocarbon catalytic conversion reactor system with a eliminator to produce a mobile metal; wherein said reactive metal comprises a metal or a metal compound capable of reacting with said eliminator, and said eliminator comprises a halogen-containing compound that interacts with said reactive metal to produce said mobile metal; and immobilize the reactive metal by contacting it with a solid or liquid adsorbent or sorbent; removing the immobilized mobile metal from the metal-coated hydrocarbon catalytic conversion reactor system. |
