A process to increase, enhance or impart a somatosensory taste or effect to an edible product, chewing gum, medicinal product, toothpaste, alcoholic beverage, aqueous beverage or soup comprising the step of adding to the edible product, chewing gum, medicinal product, pasta dentifrice, alcoholic beverage, aqueous beverage or soup an amount and concentration that increases, enhances or imparts taste or sensation, of at least one unsaturated aliphatic alkyl amide substituted in N defined according to the structure: in which: R is methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, isopropyl, cyclopropyl, n-butyl, sec-butyl, isobutyl, cyclobutyl, CH2CH (CH3) CH2CH3, CH2CH (OH) CH3, CH (CH3) CH2OH, CH2C (CH3) 2OH, CH2CH2OH, cyclopentyl or allyl; and R is methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, n-butyl, n-pentyl or n-hexyl. |
