This procedure consists in CARRY OUT IN THE PRESENCE OF CONDENSATION A MAXIMUM OF 0.4% based on the weight of isophytol of sulfuric acid, methanesulfonic acid, ethanesulfonic acid, trifluoromethanesulfonic acid, p-toluenesulfonic acid or fluorosulfonic, carbonate PROPYLENE OR ETHYLENE, OR IN A MIXTURE OF BOTH CARBONS, OR IN A MIXING ONE OR BOTH CARBONATES AND A NON-POLAR SOLVENT. THE PRODUCT OF THIS PROCESS IS THE MOST ACTIVE AND INDUSTRIALALLY IMPORTANT MEMBER OF THE VITAMIN E GROUP.
