titleOfInvention | NEW COMPOSITION TO FEED DOMESTIC ANIMALS AND METHOD TO PRODUCE. |
abstract | A process for preparing a composition for the feeding of feline domestic animals based on meat and cereals, comprising a meat material having an essentially solid dough that takes the form of the container in which it is packaged, said pet food presenting particles of meat separated and visually recognizable with a moistened appearance after slicing the mass of pet food once it has been extracted from said container, comprising the steps of: (a) heating the meat particles separated by themselves until temperature equal to or less than the denaturing point of meat protein within the range of 49 ° C (120 ° F) for fish protein up to 82 ° C (180 ° F) for rigid muscle protein of cattle, and in some point of this interval for chicken and pig muscles; (b) mixing cereals or a mixture of cereals together with water at a temperature that achieves hydration, gelatinization and retrogradation of the cereal or cereal mixture; (c) mixing starch and / or carbohydrate together with water at a temperature that achieves hydration, gelatinization and retrogradation to form a fluid or suspension of increasing viscosity; (d) mixing the products of stages (a) - (c), while maintaining the temperature achieved in stages (a) - (c) to form a homogeneous mass; and (e) introducing the final mixture of step (d) into containers, which are sealed and sterilized. |
