abstract A process is presented for the preparation of a composition comprising a biofunctional polymer substrate and a biofunctional material substrate adapted for use in or in association with the human or animal body, or cultured or uncultivated living matter, wherein the substrate of biofunctional material is basically optionally insoluble in the polymer substrate and / or in a supercritical fluid, where the process comprises contacting a mixture of the substrates or their precursors with or supercritical fluid under supercritical conditions and conditions of reduced viscosity and physical mixture to plasticize and thicken the polymer and distribute the substrate of biofunctional material through the polymer and the release of the fluid under subcritical conditions, where the substrates are adapted to be isolated in the form of a solid mixture comprising the biofunctional material substrate in a chemical form basically without to alter, and optionally in a basically unaltered physical form, the composition obtained by the procedure, the polymeric matrices thereof and the process for its preparation are also presented.
