PROCEDURE AND APPARATUS THAT SERVE TO DETERMINE THE CONCENTRATION OF A SPECIFIC SUBSTANCE IN BLOOD IN THE AIR EXHIBITED BY A PERSON. THIS IS TO MEASURE THE CONCENTRATION OF SUCH SUBSTANCE AND THE CONCENTRATION OF WATER VAPOR IN THE EXHALED AIR AND TO USE A KNOWN RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THESE CONCENTRATIONS. ACCORDING TO THIS PROCEDURE, THE AIR IS EXHALLED FREE OF CHARGE ACCORDING TO A DEFINED VOLUME THAT HAS A DEFAULT COMPOSITION AND SUCH CONCENTRATIONS ARE ENTERED IN THE AIR VOLUME. THE APPLIANCE THAT SERIES TO APPLY THIS PROCEDURE CONSISTS OF A DEVICE (16) THAT DEFINES A SPACE THAT IS SERVED TO RECEIVE THE EXHALTED AIR BY HAVING TWO OPPORTING OPENINGS ONE IN RELATION TO THE OTHER THROUGH THE SPACE COMMUNICATES WITH THE AIR, AS MEANS (18, 22, 23) THAT SERVE TO PERFORM THE SELECTIVE AND QUANTITATIVE DETECTION OF SUCH SUBSTANCE IN THE AIR CONTAINED IN THE DEFINED SPACE. |
