titleOfInvention METHOD FOR IDENTIFICATION OF ALPHA M, S AND Z ALFA-1-ANTITRIPSIN WITH RESTRICTION ENZYMES.
abstract Method for identification of alleles M, S and Znof α-1-antitrypsin withnrestriction enzymes.n n n The procedure is capable of detecting the normal M and S and Z deficient alleles of the α-1-antitrypsin protease inhibitor. In vitro amplifications of exons III and V of the antiprotease gene are performed to generate two products that, when incubated with the Sex AI and Ava I enzymes, allow the genotypic assignment of the patient, based on the fragment sizes of Enzymatic digestion It is useful in clinical laboratories for its practicability and lower cost compared to other established procedures. It is achievable both by manual procedures, and adaptable to automatic systems with real-time records.
