abstract | THE POWDER COATING COMPOSITION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION INCLUDES A LOW TEMPERATURE MIXTURE OF A POWDER (A) AND A POWDER (B), WHERE AT LEAST THE DUST (A) INCLUDES AN UNSATURATED POLYESTER RESIN AND A FREE RADICAL INITIATOR FOR START POLYMERIZATION OF INSURED POLYESTER RESINS IN THE POWDER COATING COMPOSITION; AND THE DUST (B) INCLUDES A POLYMERIZATION PROMOTER. THE INVENTION INCLUDES PROCEDURES FOR OBTAINING SUCH COMPOSITION. THE DUST (B) MAY ALSO INCLUDE AN UNSATURED POLYESTER. POWDER (A) AND (B) ARE MIXED PHYSICALLY TO TEMPERATURES BELOW WHICH THE POLYMERIZATION PROMOTER WILL MAKE THE FREE RADICAL INITIATOR START THE POLYMERIZATION OF THE POWDER COATING COMPOSITION.
