abstract | Octahydro-2H-pyrido- [1,2-a] -pyrazine derivatives, their preparation process and the pharmaceutical compositions containing them. The present invention relates to new octahydro-2H-pyrido- [1,2-a] -pyrazine derivatives, its preparation process and the pharmaceutical compositions containing them. The compounds of the present invention are particularly interesting from a pharmacological point of view for their specific interaction with the central histaminergic receptors of type H3, finding their application in the treatment of neuropathologies associated with brain aging, mood disorders, behavior food and sleep-insomnia rhythm, as well as his attention deficit hyperactivity syndrome. The aging of the population due to an increase in life expectancy has led to a large increase in the incidence of age-related neuropathologies and mainly Alzheimer's disease. The main clinical manifestations of brain aging and especially of age-related neuropathologies, are deficits of mnesic and cognitive functions that can lead to dementia. At the level of the central nervous system, recent neuropharmacological studies have shown that histamine through the central histaminergic systems played a role of neurotransmitter or neuromodulator in physiological or pathophysiological situations. Thus, it has been shown that histamine intervened in various physiological and behavioral processes such as thermoregulation, neuro-endocrine regulation, circadian rhythm, cataleptic states, motor skills, aggressiveness, eating behavior, learning and memorization, as well as synaptic plasticity. |
