abstract Procedure and intermediates for obtaining derivatives of 1- (1 H -benzimidazol-2-yl) -4- (2-aminopyrimidin) piperidine.n n n The process for obtaining derivatives of 1- (1 H -benzimidazol-2-yl) -4- (2-aminopyrimidin) piperidine (IV), where R 1 is hydrogen or 4-halobenzyl and R 5 is hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl or benzyl, comprises the conversion of a 1- [1- (R 1) -1 H -benzimidazol-2-yl] -4- (R 2) (R 3) - piperidine (I), where one of R 2 or R 3 is hydroxy, optionally protected, or R 2 and R 3, independently of one another, are optionally substituted alkoxy or benzyloxy, or R_ { 2} and R 3 together form an alkylenedioxy group, optionally substituted, by hydrolysis and / or by oxidation in a 1- [1- (R 1) -1 H -benzimidazol-2-yl] -4-piperidone , which, by reductive amination (with optional separation of the intermediate imine formed) provides the corresponding amine, which, by reaction with a pyrimidine, yields said derivative of 1- (1 H -benzimidazol-2-yl) -4- (2 -aminopyrimidin) -piperidine (IV).
