titleOfInvention STENT COVERED WITH STATINS FOR ADMINISTRATION TO A PATIENT.
abstract Stent coated with statins fornadministration to a patientn n n The invention provides a stent formed by anExpandable mesh metal body that includes a liningnformed by an inner layer and an outer layer that includenstatins such as simvastatin. The outer layer has anthickness between 1 and 10 microns and the interior between 1 and 5 microns. ThenStatins are incorporated through a suitable dissolved vehiclenin a suitable solvent. Suitable vehicles are copolymersnacrylics, finding the relationship between polymer and drugnbetween 80/20 and 50/50. The appropriate solvent is selectednfrom the group consisting of ethanol, methanol, tetrahydrofuran, toluene, nchloroform, etc. and the concentration of the solution ofnPolymer / drug is centered between 1 and 10% by weight.
