abstract An aqueous solution having a pH of 5 to 8 for contact lens treatment, comprising: (a) an effective amount of at least one germicide biguanide (b) an effective amount of a poloxamine surfactant comprising at least about 90 weight percent of poly (oxyethylene) and poly (oxypropylene) segments, in one or more copolymer chains where the weight average molecular weight of said surfactant is from 10,000 to 30,000 and where at least 70 percent by weight of the aforementioned segments of poly (oxyethylene) and poly (oxypropylene) are segments of poly (oxyethylene) and (c) an effective amount of tyloxapol.
