titleOfInvention | PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING THERPENIC ACIDS FROM EUROPEAN OLEA SHEET. |
abstract | Procedure for obtaining terpenic acids from European oil leaf. The object of the process of the invention is to obtain terpenic acids, especially oleanolic acid, from the leaves of European olea by treating said leaves with an organic solvent and subsequent separation, concentration and purification steps. Terpenic acids, and in particular oleanolic acid, are useful in the pharmaceutical industry for their antitumor, anti-inflammatory, and bactericidal activity. By means of the procedure of the invention, it is possible to obtain a high yield (from 2% to 3%, referred to the weight of the leaf) in a single extraction stage, combined with a degree of purity greater than 95%, which allows reducing the number of subsequent purification steps. |
