titleOfInvention | ENZYMATIC PROCEDURES FOR THE RESOLUTION OF ENANTIOMERIC BLENDS OF ORGANIC ACIDS. |
abstract | Enzymatic procedures for the resolution of enantiomeric mixtures of organic acids. The present invention relates to a process for the resolution of enantiomeric mixtures of organic acids, in particular, to the resolution of enantiomeric mixtures of propionic acids, and more particularly, to the resolution of (R,S) 2(4) acids. -isobutylphenyl)propionic and (R,S)2-(3-benzoylphenyl)propionic. The procedure consists of reacting the mixture to be resolved with an alcohol in the bosom of an apolar organic solvent in the presence of a biocatalyst, and the subsequent separation of the enantiomerically enriched ester from the starting products. Said biocatalyst is a lipase, or mixture of lipases, in various degrees of purification, produced by a microorganism selected from the following group: Fusarium oxysporum, Arthroderma ciferrii, Monascus mucoroides, Ovadendron sulphureoochraceum, Brevibacterium linens, Streptomyces fradiae and Rhodotorula araucariae. Said procedures are of interest in the pharmaceutical industry and the fine chemical industry. |
