abstract | Biocide-fungicide composition and procedure for obtaining it. It comprises an amount of benzoisothiazolin-3-one and an amount of at least one formalin liberator, product of the reaction between paraformaldehyde and ethylene glycol, such that the ratio between said benzoisothiazolin-3-one and said at least one formalin liberator is between 1:7 and 1:4. The procedure for its preparation comprises: i) preparation of the formalin releaser by means of the reaction of paraformaldehyde and ethylene glycol at a temperature between 40°C and 90°C; ii) preparation of a solution of the sodium salt of benzo-isothiazolin-3-one by dissolving benzoisothiazolin-3-one in a solvent and subsequent addition of sodium hydroxide until a pH between 7 and 13; iii) mixing the formaldehyde liberator from stage i) with the solution of the sodium salt of bezoisothiazolin-3-one from stage ii), so that in the final composition the relationship between bezoisothiazolin-3-one and the formaldehyde releaser is between 1:7 and 1:4. |
