titleOfInvention PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING CALCITONIN IN A SPRAY DOSER FOR INTRANASAL ADMINISTRATION.
abstract Pharmaceutical compositions containing calcitonin in a spray dispenser for intranasal administration. In these compositions calcitonin is basically dissolved in a physiological solution of sodium chloride, adjusted to a pH between 3.5 and 4.5 with a buffer solution of citrate and hydrochloric acid without preservatives. The compositions are applied by a spray dispenser whose mouth has a dosing pump attached and is closed by a tightly fitting ring to the mouth of the bottle. These pharmaceutical compositions are used for the treatment of osteoporosis, Paget's disease and hypercalcemia.
