titleOfInvention MONONITRATE DERIVATIVES OF ISOSORBIDA AND ITS EMPLOYMENT AS VASODILATOR AGENTS WITH DECREASED TOLERANCE.
abstract Isosorbide mononitrate derivatives and their use as vasodilator agents with decreased tolerance. Novel isosorbide mononitrate derivatives and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts are described, which have vasodilator activity with a decreased tolerance effect, of general formula (I) in which A and B represent indistinctly any of the groups -ONO sub, 2 and - Z-CO-R, where Z is an oxygen or sulfur atom, and R is an alkyl group C sub, 1 -C sub, 4, aryl or aralkyl, optionally substituted, or the group in which R sup, 1 is hydrogen or an alkyl group C sub, 1 -C sub, 4, aryl or aralkyl, possibly substituted, so that always one of A or B is -ONO sub, 2, but never both at the same time, when Z is an atom sulfur R is an alkyl group C sub, 1 -C sub, 4, aryl or aralkyl, optionally substituted, and when Z is an oxygen atom R is the group
