titleOfInvention USE OF AN EXTRACT OF ERIOBOTRYA JAPONICA, ESPECIALLY IN THE FIELD OF COSMETICS, TO STIMULATE THE SYNTHESIS OF GLYCOSAMINOGLYCANS.
abstract Use of an extract of eriobotrya japonica, especially in the field of cosmetics, to stimulate the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans. The invention relates to new uses of an extract of Eriobotrya japonica especially in the field of cosmetics or pharmacy. This extract allows stimulating the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, in particular hyaluronic acid, thus giving the cosmetic compositions that contain it the property of improving skin firmness and flexibility, fighting wrinkle formation or reducing the depth of the same or to obtain a smoothing of the surface of the skin thanks to a tightening effect, or to hydrate the skin. The invention also relates to the use of the same extracts to obtain a stimulation of the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans from cell culture medium, in particular fibroblasts or keratinocytes.
