A BIOCIDAL FABRIC IN WHICH THERE ARE PATTERN OF GROUPS OF BIOCIDAL PEARLS ADHERED BETWEEN A SUBSTRATE PERMEABLE TO THE AIR AND A COVER THAT CAN BE IMPERMEABLE TO GASES, PERMEABLE TO THE VAPOR OF WATER OR PERMEABLE TO GASES. IN THE METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF THE FABRIC, A HOT-MELT ADHESIVE PATTERN IS APPLIED TO THE SUBSTRATE AND A FEW PEARLS OF BIOCIDAL MATERIAL ARE DISSEMINATED ON THE ADHESIVE, AFTER WHICH THE EXCESSIVE PEARLS ARE REMOVED. THE SAME STICKER OF ADHESIVE APPLIES TO THE COVER AND THE ADHESIVE FROM THE COVER IS IN CONTACT WITH THE PEARLS ON THE SUBSTRATE TO COMPLETE FABRIC. |
