abstract DEVELOPMENT OF NANOPARTICLES BASED ON HYDROPHILIC POLYMERS. NANOPARTICLES (NANOMETRIC SIZE AND HYDROPHILIC), ALSO CALLED NANOSPHERES OR LATEXES, ARE COLLOIDAL SYSTEMS FORMED BY THE COMBINATION OF TWO POLYMERS OF A HYDROPHILIC NATURE. THE POLYMERS ARE CHITOSAN (AN AMINOPOLYSACCHARIDE) AND POLOXAMER (A COPOLYMER OF ETHYLENE OXIDE AND PROPYLENE OXIDE). THE OBTAINING PROCEDURE OCCURS IN THE AQUEOUS PHASE WITHOUT THE NEED TO USE ORGANIC SOLVENTS OR AUXILIARY SUBSTANCES OF A TOXIC NATURE. NANOPARTICLES HAVE APPLICATION AS PHARMACEUTICAL FORMS (FOR THE IN VIVO ADMINISTRATION OF ACTIVE INGREDIENTS) DUE TO THE ABILITY TO RETAIN MEDICINES AND PROTEINS INSIDE THEM.
