abstract THE REGENERATION OF INJURED NERVES IS IMPROVED BY SUPPLYING COLAGENASE TO THE DAMAGED AREA OF THE NERVE. GROWTH OF THE NERVE IN THE DAMAGED AREA IS HELPED BY THE PRESENCE OF EFFECTIVE AMOUNTS OF COLLAGENASE DURING THE REGENERATION PROCESS. IF THE NERVE HAS BEEN SEPARATED, COLLAGENASE IS SUPPLIED TO THE ENDS OF BOTH PARTS OF THE NERVE. A GRAFTED NERVE CAN STAND BETWEEN THE TWO SECTIONED ZONES. THE NATURAL FIBRIN HAS ALREADY BEEN USED TO JOIN SECTIONAL NERVES, FINDING THAT COLLAGENASE IS EFFECTIVE WHEN IT IS USED MIXED WITH FIBRIN.
