abstract LUMINISCENT OPTICAL SENSOR. IT IS DESCRIBED AN OPTICAL DEVICE ABLE TO DETERMINE, IN A CONTINUOUS, REVERSIBLE, AND REAL TIME CONCENTRATION OF LOW MOLECULAR ALCOHOLS AND WATER VAPOR CONTAINED IN A LIQUID, SEMI-LIQUID OR GASEOUS SAMPLE. SUCH DEVICE USES CERTAIN ORGANIC HETERO-CYCLE ARIL-SUBSTITUTED LUMINISCENT COMPOUNDS (EG EL 5- (4 AMINOFENIL) -2- (2-PIRAZINIL) TIAZOL) WHICH IS SENSITIVE, WAVING LENGTH AND STIRENY OF SITUATION OF RADIUS SENSITION IN SITUATION GROWING CONCENTRATIONS OF SUCH ANALYZES (EG METHANOL, ETHANOL, NPROPANOL, 2-PROPANOL AND WATER) CONTAINED IN THE SAMPLE. THE ADAPTATION OF SUCH AN OPTICAL SENSOR TO THE MONITORING OF SUCH ANALITES IN GASOLINS, NAFTAS OR OTHER FUELS IS ALSO DESCRIBED THROUGH THE USE OF A SYSTEM OF FIBER OPTICS COMBINED WITH THE IMMOBILIZATION OF THE COMPOUND LUMINIS IN LUMINIS FURTHER, THE OPTICAL DEVICE CAN BE USED FOR THE MONITORING OF SUCH ANALYTS IN ANY OTHER SAMPLE, SUCH AS THE NATURE OR MAJORITY COMPONENT OF THE SAME IS NOT PROTICAL IN CHARACTER. THE SENSITIVITY TO THE VARIOUS LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT ALCOHOLS AND WATER IS A FUNCTION OF THE STRUCTURE OF THE LUMINISCENT COMPOUND USED, OF THE PROCEDURE OF IMMOBILIZATION OF THE SAME AND OF THE NATURE AND / OR MAJORITY COMPONENT OF THE SAMPLE.
