abstract AROMATIC ALKYL COMPOUNDS ARE PREPARED BY REACTING IN RENTING CONDITIONS AN AROMATIC COMPOUND LIKE BENZENE WITH A RENTING AGENT LIKE OLEPHINE, AN ALKYL HALIDE OR AN ALKYL ALKYL IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ALKYL CATALYST. IT HAS BEEN PREPARED BY DISPERSION OF THE CLAY IN A SOLUTION OF A METALLIC SUPPORT AGENT, SEPARATING THE RESULTING SUPPORT CLAY, WASHING AND DRYING SUCH SUPPORT CLAY, FORMING A STRUCTURE OF LIGHT SUPPORTING CLAY AND A COMPOSITE LIGUTED COMPOSITE. OF SUCH MASS AND CALCINATING THE RESULTING EXTRUDED PRODUCT. THIS CATALYST ENABLES IMPROVED SELECTIVITY FOR THE DESIRED LINEAR ALKYL AROMATIC COMPOUND WHICH MAY BE USED IN THE PREPARATION OF BIODEGRADABLE DETERGENTS.
