abstract THERE IS PROVIDED POLYMER STABILIZERS THAT HAVE THE FORMULA: WHERE A IS AN ORGANIC RADICAL TETRAVALENT FROM 2 TO 48 CARBONS; D IS A DIVALENT RADIAL - C (= 0) - N (6) - C (= 0) - (CH2) X -, WHERE X IS 0 O 1, E IS A MONOVALENT RADIAL - (CH2) X - C ( = 0) NH6, WHERE X IS 0 O 1; D IS 0.1 OR 2 AND G IS THE RESIDUE OF A STABILIZER GROUP, FOR EXAMPLE, A DARKEN PHENOL SUBSTITUTED FOR HYDRACIL OR A LIGHTWEIGHT STABILIZER FOR HYDRACIL SUBSTITUTED AMID. POLYMER STABILIZERS ARE PREPARED FOR THE REACTION OF AMINO SUBSTITUTED HYDRACILS AND CYCLIC DIANHYDRIDES. THE POLYMER STABILIZERS OF THE INVENTION ARE USEFUL TO PROTECT A WIDE VARIETY OF SYNTHETIC POLYMERIC ORGANIC MATERIALS FROM THE DEGRADING EFFECTS OF HEAT, LIGHT AND OXYGEN. SOME OF THE MODIFIERS ARE FLAME RETARDANT AND MANY MORE DEACTIVATING METALS IN PLACE TO THEIR PRIMARY ACTIVITY.
