OXOPHTALAZINYL DIOAZETHAMID MAY BE PREPARED BY REACTIONING THE CORRESPONDING ZIANOMETHYL OXOPHTALAZINYL ACETATE WITH HYDROGEN SULFIDE IN THE PRESENCE OF TERTIARY AMINES. IDIAZOLA AND ANALOG IDIAZOLAS AND OXOPYRIDOPYZIDONE ACETIC ACIDS MAY BE SIMILARLY PREPARED, AS WELL AS OXOPHTALAZINYL AND DIAZOLA AND OXOPYRIDOPYRIDAZINONE ACETIC ACIDS, WHICH HAVE LATERAL CHAINS.
