THE INVENTION CONCERNS A HETERO-CYCLIC DERIVATIVE OF FORMULA I, WHERE AR1 IS OPENLY SUBSTITUTED PHENYL OR NAFTIL; A1 IS ALKYLENE (C1-6), ALKYLENE (C3-6), ALKYLYLENE (C3-6) OR ALKYLENE (C3-6) CYCLE; AR2 IS OPENLY SUBSTITUTED PHENYLENE, OR A HETERO-CYCLENE PART OF 6 MEMBERS CONTAINING MORE THAN THREE NITROGENS; R1 IS HYDROGEN, ALKYL (C1-6), ALKYNYL (C3-6), ALKYNYL (C3-6), ALKYL (C1-4) CYAN OR ALCANOYL (C2-4), OR OPTIONALLY REPLACED BENZOIL; AND R2 AND R3 TOGETHER FORM A GROUP OF THE FORMULA -A2-X-A3- WHERE EACH A2 AND A3 ARE ALKYLENE (C1-4) AND X IS OXI, TIO, SULFINIL, SULFONIL OR IMINO; OR A PHARMACEUTICALLY ACCEPTABLE SALT OF IT. THE COMPONENTS OF THE INVENTION ARE INHIBITORS OF THE LIPOXIGENASA-5 ENZYME. |
