THE RESIN PHASE HAS GROUPS BASED ON NITROGEN WHICH ARE AT LEAST PARTIALLY NEUTRALIZED WITH OR DERIVED FROM SULPHAMIC ACID, THAT IS, AN ACID FROM THE FORMULA: WHERE R IS H OR C1 TO C4 ALKYL. THE COMPOSITIONS ARE IN THE FORM OF AQUEOUS DISPERSIONS OF RELATIVELY SMALL PARTICLE SIZE, AND WHEN USED IN THE PROCESS OF CATIONIC ELECTRO-DEPOSITION, ALLOWS THE FORMATION OF THIN FILMS WITH GREAT PULLING POWER. ALSO, THE USE OF SULPHAMIC ACID INACTIVATES THE ANODE. |
