IT CONSISTS OF THE DECARBOXYLATION OF 2-CARBOXY-3-[2-(DIMETHYLAMINO)ETHYL]-N-METHYL-1H-INDOL-5-METHANOSULFONAMIDE (FORMULA II), IN THE PRESENCE OF A SUITABLE SOLVENT AND CATALYST, IN ATMOSPHERE INERT AND AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 190GC AND 250GC, TO OBTAIN 3-[2-(DIMETHYLAMINO)ETHYL-N-METHYL-1H-INDOL-5-METHANE-SULFONAMIDE (FORMULA I), WHOSE SALTS AND SOLVATES ARE USEFUL IN THE TREATMENT OF MIGRAINE.
