A POLYDIORGANOSILOXANE RUBBER CAN BE PREPARED, OF THE TYPE THAT IS PRODUCED BY POLYMERIZATION OF ORGANOCYCLOHEXANES CATALYZED WITH ALKALINE METALS, WHICH DOES NOT CONTAIN HYDROXYL GROUPS, BY MIXING THE RUBBER WITH A NATURAL ACIDYL ACIDAL FOSPHORIC COMPONENT AND A FOSPHYLETHYL COMPONENT ORGANOSILOTIC COMPONENT GUM. MIX, REACT UNTIL THE HYDROXYL GROUPS ARE ELIMINATED AND THEN DEVOLATILIZE THE RUBBER. THE HYDROXYL CONTENT CAN BE ELIMINATED WITHOUT CAUSING CONSIDERABLE CHANGES IN THE MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF THE RUBBER AND PRODUCING A RUBBER THAT IS HEAT STABLE AT TEMPERATURES OF ABOUT 250C WITHOUT THE ADDITION OF HEAT STABILIZERS.
