PARTICULATE MATERIAL, ULTRAVIOLET ABSORBER, AND METHOD TO MANUFACTURE IT. THE MATERIAL INCLUDES TITANIUM DIOXIDE PARTICLES COATED ACCIULARLY WITH A RATIO OF THE LONGEST DIMENSION TO THE SHORTEST DIMENSION WITHIN THE INTERVAL OF 8: 1 TO 2: 1, BEING THE LONGEST DIMENSION OF 0.01 TO 0.15 MICROMETERS AND CONTAINING THE ALUMINUM AND SILICON HYDROXIDE COATING IN A WEIGHT RATIO OF AL MENS 1.5 AND NOT MORE THAN 4.5, EXPRESSED AS OXIDES. THE METHOD INCLUDES FORMING A DISPERSION WITH HYDROLYSABLE ALUMINUM AND SILICON COMPOUNDS TO DEPOSIT A COATING OF ALUMINUM HYDROGENATED OXIDE AND SILICON HYDROXIDE ON SUCH PARTICLES. THIS MATERIAL IS USEFUL IN COSMETICS AND OTHER SKINCARE PRODUCTS. |
