abstract Process for obtaining derivatives of 4- (p-amino-benzo-sulfonyl) -amino-pyrimidines of the formula in which X indicates a low alkyl radical with at least 2 carbon atoms characterized in that reachable derivatives of benzolsulfonic acid that in position p with respect to the sulfonic acid group they carry a substituent convertible to the sulfonic acid group carry a substituent convertible to the amino group are reacted with 4-amino-pyrimidines of the formula in which X is a low alkyl radical with for at least 2 carbon atoms or inversely the suitably substituted amides of benzolsulfonic acid are reacted with the corresponding 4-chloro-pyrimidines and in the products obtained from the formula in which indicates the substituent convertible into the amino group and in which b is a hydrogen or a radical converts the substituent in position p in the usual way in the amino group and if b is the radical it separates or cleaves ant it is simultaneously or immediately by hydrolysis and, if necessary, the reaction products are purified.
